Software Translator is a program that will translate buttons and commands of any program on the fly. You can tell the program to translate interfaces into any of the twenty seven languages: English, Dutch, French, German, Norwegian, Portuguese (including the Brazilian variant), Spanish, Italian, Swedish, Danish, Finnish, Greek, Estonian, Croatian, Czech, Polish, Hungarian, Romanian, Russian, Slovakian, Slovenian, Turkish, Chinese, Korean, Japanese and Thai.
In order to see the translated interfaces, you will need to open intended programs from Software Translator´s interface. Then, every button or command will be translated using the built-in dictionary for each language, and you will see the interface translated to the language you have chosen. The dictionaries can be edited through the Lexicon Editor feature. So you will be able to enhance the way in which the entries are translated, by editing or adding words and phrases.
The free evaluation version of Software Translator remains fully functional for thirty uses.
- It can give you a clue about the meaning of certain commands in some programs
- It does not translate many very common buttons and commands
- You can edit the dictionaries, but if you know the meaning of the words to do that, you do not need this program
